Fruitcake come from Oslo, Norway and along with Anglagard and Anekdoten are at the forefront of the cutting edge Scandinavian prog scene. Original members Pal Sovik (who has also made two solo albums) and Tore Bo are the main songwriters. Main influences are symphonic rock bands like Genesis, Gentle Giant and Yes. Their debut release "Fools Tapes" did exceedingly well in their home country with healthy sales abroad. Now with two lead guitarists and players doubling up on keyboards--they have produced one of the finest Scandinavian rock albums.
The CD features delicate songs with extended instrumental parts crossing over into the Pendragon and IQ/Jadis vein and tastes of Anglagard and Anekdoten.
